Domestic animal

Image
Domestic animals include all creatures that have been tamed and kept by humans as a work animal, food source, or pet, such as cats, dogs, cows, and pigs. We can use this image to teach primary students about domestic animals and some of its physical characteristics, such as patches on fur coats, floppy ears, four legs, and curled tails, that are common in our household.

National Dress

Image
This is the National dress of Bhutan which was introduced by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel  it in the 17th century to give Bhutanese a distinct identity. We have to wear the national dress in government offices, schools, and on ceremonial events in order to preserve and promote our cultural history. The gho which is worn by men is a long robe that is hoisted to the knee and tied around the waist with a kera, a woven cloth belt. One type of settlement is the nucleated settlement, in which homes are generally clustered around a central location. Another type is dispersive settlement, in which houses are built with some gap between them.  If children are puzzled about the nucleated and dispersive settlements, we can show them this image to help them understand about the two types of settlement.

Mountains and plains

Image
This is the image I took during my summer break when I went to Phobjikha for shooting. A mountain is  a landform that rises at least 1,000 feet (300 meters) above its surroundings. A mountain range is a grouping or chain of nearby mountains. A plain is a flat area of land that does not vary much in height and is mostly treeless. Plains can be found in lowlands in slopes or at the foothills of mountains, coastal areas, plateaus, or uplands. With the help of this image we can teach our students about tow different landscape found in our country that is mountains nd the plains.   .
