Bhutanese architecture is distinctly traditional, with soil ramming and wattle and daub construction methods, stone masonry, and elaborate woodwork around windows and roofs. Traditional architecture does not employ nails or iron bars in its construction, and it also does not use paper plans separating Bhutanese architecture from the rest of the world.
