 Bhutanese architecture is distinctly traditional, with soil ramming and wattle and daub construction methods, stone masonry, and elaborate woodwork around windows and roofs. Traditional architecture does not employ nails or iron bars in its construction, and it also does not use paper plans separating Bhutanese architecture from the rest of the world. National Dress

This is the National dress of Bhutan which was introduced by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel  it in the 17th century to give Bhutanese a distinct identity. We have to wear the national dress in government offices, schools, and on ceremonial events in order to preserve and promote our cultural history. The gho which is worn by men is a long robe that is hoisted to the knee and tied around the waist with a kera, a woven cloth belt. This produces a big bag above that can hold specific goods, traditionally a bowl and betel nut. The kira is a floor-length rectangular piece of cloth wrapped around the body and worn over a wonju blouse. The kira is secured at the waist with a kera (belt) and is held from the shoulders by broach-like hooks called koma.
